"Though Mike was personable. I think we could have done it by our-self. He had our requirements on what seemed was an auto generator. Whereas, I found most of the properties we liked. Obviously, he has many clients, but it would have been nice to get a few choices from a "personal" search, instead of ten from an auto generated mill. All we needed was for him to have the lock box code to look inside. He would come to us and state to why we were unrealistic, instead of just putting the offer we proposed. Though he did find our inspector on short notice, which was a blessing, we feel they both undersold what the cost would be to do upgrades, and there was no way to bring in various contractors to get an estimate prior to closing. We have found that everyone, from electrician, flooring, plumbing, roofing, has been two if not three times more expensive than was told to us. He even thought we would get only a certain amount in credits, but we stuck to a higher amount, which we got. He did congratulate us as to sticking to our guns. Had we had a more certain ballpark of various upgrades, we would have requested more and articulated why. I also wish that he had pushed the sellers to allow us a "mechanics's look see" before the end of negotiations. So we could have had an electrician, roofer, plumber come in and give us a written estimate, so we would have had more to work with in negotiating"
